We’ve had an exciting few weeks between the IFTAs and the Radharc Awards.

We got into our gúnas for the IFTAs on 7th October where our live show Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge took home the statue for Best Entertainment. Series Producer Bill Hughes, Producers Anne Heffernan and Dolores Comerford, Assistant Producer Jennifer Healy, Exec Producer for RTÉ Michael Hughes and of course Presenter Brandan were there to collect the gong and generally have way too much fun.

The incredibly talented Michael O’Donovan took home the IFTA for Best Camera in Television for his stunning work on our doc These Walls Can Talk.

These Walls Can Talk was honoured again at the Radharc Awards on 20th October where it was Highly Commended. Producer Anne Heffernan collected the scroll for this landmark documentary that explored the history of St Joseph’s School for Deaf Boys in Cabra. It was presented by internationally renowned performance artist Amanda Coogan, the daughter of two Deaf parents, whose father Larry attended St Josephs in the 1950’s. Garry Keane directed and Bernadine Carraher was Executive Producer.

We need to renovate our trophy cabinet!
